2nd International Topical Meeting on High Temperature Reactor Technology opened in the Friendship Hotel in Beijing on September 22. Zhang Zuoyi, director of Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology (INET) in Tsinghua University , Qian Jihui, Former DDG of International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA) and present advanced advisor of INET in Tsinghua, and Dr. Hittner, representative of High Temperature Reactor Technology Network ( HTR-TN), attended the opening ceremony held in the morning and all delivered speeches at the ceremony.
A total of more than 100 experts of nuclear power from home and abroad attended the three-day meeting.
The meeting held in Beijing was organized by Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology of Tsinghua University. The 1st International Topical Meeting on High Temperature Reactor Technology was held in Petten, the Netherlands, in 2002.
