Tsinghua University hosted an opening ceremony to welcome its new cohort of more than 3,800 undergraduate students on August 24.
The incoming undergraduate students attended the ceremony at the University Gymnasium, the main venue for the ceremony, whileas their familiy members and friends could watch the live broadcast in sub-venues. The event was broadcast live via "Rain Classroom" in both English and Chinese.
